I took Albus to the vet this morning, after getting the day off work from an understanding boss. I had to take the other kittens as well, because they were thinking of taking them all back for observation (they like to keep kittens with their siblings for socialization purposes). Well, after that sad news, comes some... surprising news! I was playing with Matilda Rose when I noticed something under her tail. I checked, and... that's right, "Matilda" is a boy! They neglected to tell me this at the Humane Society, ha. I just took their word for the genders because they put blue collars on the boys and red ones on the girls, ( Read more... )

So I've pretty much resigned myself to the fact that the kittens are not here. I've been calling every other day to see how they're doing, but the Humane Society is probably getting annoyed with that so I'll just wait for them to call me. I heard from the Humane Society today. My kittens have a coccidia infection. It's a pretty common parasite that causes diarrhea. In kittens, who don't have fully developed immune systems, the complications can be severe, so I'm glad I took them in when I did ( Read more... )

I have to take the kittens back to the Humane Society. At least two of them are having diarrhea issues and I'm pretty sure someone threw up, but I don't know which one.
